About Aba At Jumpstart Autism Collective

We pair Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) (the science of learning) with Precision Teaching (PT) (the science of teaching) to provide highly effective services to our learners, children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our early intervention classrooms allow specialization with early learners, intensive support learners, or transition readiness learners. Our highly trained team, including Clinical Psychologists (PhDs), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), work together to meet the unique intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every learner we serve. Precision Teaching methodologies empower our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to make moment to moment independent data based clinical decisions in their Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions with learners. We are proud to be accredited as a Behavioral Health Center of Excellence since 2016, the first in New Mexico! Established in 2008, we are locally owned and operated in Albuquerque and are dedicated to making a difference in our community.

We believe that by taking care of our employees, they will, in turn, take care of our learners. This is why we have earned Top Workplaces awards from The Albuquerque Journal in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024! We cultivate a safe work environment that allows our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to connect with the learners, get on their level, and make learning fun! Our Employee Engagement Committees develop activities and events that promote wellness, camaraderie, and fun at work! We have established mentorship programs and diverse career pathways in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) within clinical services, clinical training, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) fieldwork experience to jumpstart your career!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Upon completing our in-depth, paid training program, our Behavior Technicians / Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work one on one with children between the ages of one year old to twelve years old, providing early intervention behavioral therapy. Our team teaches learners on the autism spectrum new adaptive skills like language, functional communication, functional play, pro-social behaviors, self-help, and more! During sessions with learners, our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) implement behaviorally based clinical protocols with fidelity, chart data, and make data-based decisions within treatment sessions. In addition, they assist in the maintenance of learner materials, maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and treatment environment, and utilize safe and appropriate crisis intervention and prevention strategies with all learners.
