SUMMARY:
The Medical Associate Manager, reporting to the Director of Nursing, is responsible for creating and fostering a conducive relationship with the Medical Team and Clinical Team. They will ensure all procedures, protocols and accreditation standards are met. They will support the SFRC multidisciplinary structure to ensure programs align to streamline efficient and effective processes and protocols.

Medical Associate Supervisors DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing and nursing staff to train all Medical Associates and document quarterly competencies. • Create a Medical Associate Training Manual and update as needed
• Develop and support all Medical Associate training topics
• Develop and manage Medical Supervisor schedules, including on-call coverage.
• Review grievances and incident reports with the Director of Nursing.
• Plan and document follow-up actions, and complete root cause analysis for grievances and incident reports.
• Create and establish a positive culture within all facilities.
• Support Human Resources and Registered Nurses with employee discipline, grievance feedback, Performance improvement plans, etc.
• Provide support for administration with special projects as assigned.
• Track and manage performance appraisals for supervisors.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one check-ins and annual performance evaluations.
• Assist in restructuring and supporting client programs as needed.
• Provide oversight for medical supplies.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in ensuring the budget is managed as it pertains to Medical Associate staffing.
• Review all systems and job descriptions that are in place and/or create a system that ensures all procedures are being adhered to. • Review all lists and binders manuals that are up to date and followed filed and reported.
• Create a system to ensure there's oversight of program development implementation and oversight specific to services.
• Consults with other professional and paraprofessional staff to support.
• Get to know the individual skillsets of each Medical Associate and execute support. (computer classes etc).
• Hiring and interviewing new hires.
• Help with admission and discharge procedures and protocol.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Experience in residential treatment facilities that operate in multidisciplinary settings.
3. (6) years of supervisory experience preferred.
4. (4) years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
5. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately written and verbally.
6. Ability to exercise professionalism, patience, and discretion when dealing with residents, families, staff, and the public at all times.
7. Ability to relate with understanding and kindness to residents and their families.
8. Ability to keep observations, conversations, and information confidential.
9. Must be computer literate in order to effectively maintain certification standards and requirements for use of computerized client assessments, data systems, etc.
10.Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver's License if responsible for transporting clients or running errands for the Center. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record, as well as auto insurance.
11. In the case of a recovering person, he/she must have successfully maintained a two (2) year period of uninterrupted abstinence from alcohol and/or drugs.
12.Maintain CPR and First Aid certification card on file.
13. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred. (English/Spanish).
