About Job

We are looking for a Clinical Therapist who is licensed as a Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker to provide school-based mental health treatment and therapeutic services to children and adolescents attending Fort Bend ISD schools. Therapist will identify students affected by trauma and provide trauma-focused mental health services within the school day. The ideal therapist is passionate about serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and providing care based on the foundation of mutual trust, respect, and collaboration. Therapists will complete psychotherapy sessions on clients in service as well as clients by referral. Therapist must be a focused self-starter with the ability to work independently while still being a part of a very supportive team. Experience working with children and adolescents, and play therapy is a strong plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be licensed in state of Texas as an LPC or LCSW with a skillset that includes extensive experience with children and adolescents.
  • Must have availability during the day, Monday to Friday during standard school hours.
  • Starting caseload of 5-7 children, meeting one to two times per week; caseload expected to grow over time.
  • Must have professional experience implementing evidenced-based interventions and therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, and DBT.
  • Must be able to provide 3 professional references who can verify past employment experience in excellent standing from past supervisors/employers (co-workers references will not be accepted).
  • This is not an internship, therefore must be fully licensed in the state of Texas.
  • Bilingual therapists especially encouraged to apply.


DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on client goals and needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and pediatricians/PCP's, to coordinate care for clients.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards at all times.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of mental health counseling.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid state license the practice mental health Texas
  • Master's degree; must be licensed in the State of Texas as LPC or LCSW


Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 10 to 20 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
