Position: School Psychologist
Assigned Locations: Oakridge Lower Elementary
Oakridge Public Schools implements MTSS, taking a proactive approach to identifying students with academic or behavioral needs. Early assessment and intervention have proven to be key in student success. We have developed an Interconnected Systems Framework in collaboration with MyAlliance, our community partnerships. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our highly collaborative teams where they will be an active participant in the MTSS process. Internal and external coaching support is available for our staff to help grow MTSS and PBIS knowledge. Qualifications:
Masters Degree in School Psychology
Possess or be eligible for Michigan School Psychologist certification
Responsibilities:
- Must follow district and state curricula and assessment requirements.
- Active participation in building pre-referral activities/interventions such as Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
- Assist in the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Ability to work effectively with grade level/department/interdisciplinary teams, etc.
- Input/active participation in building and district committee structure to develop new curricular guidelines for all areas.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork, i.e., IEP’s, transition plans, Medicaid billings, behavior intervention plans, etc.
- Follow and implement all Board of Education policies, administrative guidelines and building regulations.
- Willing to perform other duties as necessary and/or directed by the principal and/or special education administrator.
