Kaufman Children's Center has earned a world-wide reputation for providing the highest quality ABA, speech, and OT treatment for children. We are seeking a passionate, results-driven board-certified assistant behavior analyst (BCaBA), who is ready to join our team to change the lives of young children with ASD. We provide comprehensive early intervention using both center and home-based ABA treatment. Our children receive ABA, speech, and OT under one roof for optimum carryover and generalization across settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Conduct initial baselines assessment, training, and competency evaluation for all new ABA tech hires using BST format
  • Complete progress monitoring for ABA tech trainees at determined intervals
  • Develop objective goals and means to document progress for ABA tech trainees struggling to meet training benchmarks
  • Provide feedback and goal setting within the initial ABA tech training phase
  • Assign new ABA techs to leads for mentoring throughout the training process
  • Maintain and oversee all ABA tech competency checks for DTT, NET, and behavior plan implementation as needed for ongoing performance monitoring alongside BCBA supervisors
  • Document all performance concerns to ABA directors
  • Maintain initial and ongoing RBT training and maintenance/documentation for all related activities under the supervision of ABA directors.
  • Assist with additional program support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Current certification as a board-certified assistant behavior analyst (BCaBA)
  • BACB active member in good standing
  • Bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis
  • Experience using BST with ABA technicians to implement discrete trial and natural environment training
  • Excellent working understanding of verbal behavior
  • Familiar with assessments such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R
  • Knowledge of RBT competencies and initial/recertification process
  • Ability to present ABA content clearly and effectively to non-certified staff
  • Experience collaborating with other service providers such as speech pathologists and occupational therapists

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Literacy: Must be able to read written material from a variety of sources. Must be able to distinguish colors and view computer screen daily for several hours at a time
  • Speaking/hearing: Must be able to communicate with staff and patients on phone or in person. Must be able to receive information through oral communication
  • Attention: Must be able to concentrate on work tasks amidst distractions
  • Stress tolerance: Must be able to exhibit self-control when dealing with clients/families or other clinic staff who become upset
  • Throughout the day (frequently): sit, walk, stand, type, write
  • Throughout the day (occasionally): bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder, kneel, lift (up to 35 pounds)
