School Social Worker in Coal Center, PA

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A unique contract opportunity awaits experienced school social workers interested in supporting students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Coal Center, PA. This role is based on-site and will take place across two campus locations, with a focused caseload of 12 students, ensuring you can provide personalized attention and make a significant impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct social work services and interventions to support student well-being and academic growth during the ESY program.
• Collaborating with educational staff, families, and community resources to address barriers to learning.
• Conducting assessments and maintaining documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.
• Attending in-service for teachers prior to the start of the student program.
• Providing crisis intervention and counseling as needed throughout the session.
• Participating in team meetings to coordinate services and share important insights regarding student progress.

We're seeking candidates with:

• Valid and current PA School Social Worker Certificate.
• Prior experience working within school settings or with school-aged children, preferably in ESY or summer programs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a small, consistent caseload and collaborate across multiple sites.
• Flexibility to be present on campus from 8 AM – 12 PM on scheduled dates between June 18 and July 17, 2026.
