Overview

Join the team at Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital and play a vital role in supporting hospital operations, staffing coordination, and front-line customer service in a fast-paced behavioral health environment. This position combines administrative expertise, schedule coordination, reception support, and operational problem-solving to help ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery.

 

The role serves as a key point of contact for hospital staff, visitors, and external partners while supporting nursing operations, maintaining critical records and reports, coordinating staffing schedules, and assisting with day-to-day hospital administration. Successful candidates will thrive in dynamic environments, communicate professionally under pressure, and demonstrate strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills.

 

Ideal candidates will have experience in healthcare, human services, or administrative operations and be comfortable balancing multiple priorities while supporting patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance. Experience with staffing coordination, scheduling, reception, or healthcare administration is strongly preferred.

Environmental Factors

Duties are generally performed in a standard office setting. There may be some exposure to patient populations. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be required. There may be periods of heavy workloads and tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years performing administrative level duties which includes complex scheduling.

OR

Associate's degree AND four (4) years performing administrative level duties which includes complex scheduling.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years performing administrative level duties which includes complex scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with work schedule coordination or coordination of staffing in large scale operations.

Complex scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
