We are excited to be seeking a full-time high school counselor to join our dynamic 9 -12 school counseling department. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of high school students developmental needs, along with a strong understanding of the American School Counseling Associations (ASCA) national model. Primary responsibilities will include supporting students in the academic, college and career, and social emotional domains. We look forward to working with individuals who have and model a growth mindset as we evolve our comprehensive school counseling program to work within our multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) at our school. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive school counseling services through classroom guidance, individual/small group counseling, and social-emotional support.
- Support students academic, personal, behavioral, and career development through assessment, goal setting, and post-secondary planning.
- Collaborate with families, staff, and community agencies to promote student success and connect students with appropriate services and resources.
- Assist with student scheduling, course selection, assessments, and maintaining accurate/confidential student records.
- Participate in school improvement efforts, interdisciplinary teams, and programs that foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
