Experteer Overview In this role you will independently diagnose, treat, prescribe, and provide comprehensive psychiatric care to assigned individuals as part of the Article 16 Clinic behavioral team. You will supervise other medical personnel and guide residential treatment teams on psychiatric plans of care, ensuring integration with overall health and recovery efforts. You will handle differential diagnoses and co-occurring disorders to tailor specialized treatment. This position supports after-hours/on-call coverage and potential program oversight, within a mission-driven, public health setting. Compensation / Benefits • Independently diagnose, treat, and prescribe for assigned individuals • Provide clinical supervision to other medical personnel or clinicians • Advise residential multi-disciplinary teams on psychiatric plans of care • Oversee psychiatric care for a treatment program, group, or facility as needed • Provide after-hours and weekend on-call medical telephone consult • Support coverage for Comprehensive Adult Transitional Home and possibly other regions • Advise on differential diagnoses and co-occurring disorders to shape care plans Tasks • License to practice medicine in New York State • Board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Key requirements • 13 paid holidays • paid vacation leave • paid sick leave • paid parental leave up to 12 weeks • health insurance options including dental and vision • retirement plan (ERS)
