Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral therapy programs designed to improve their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis (ABA), experience working with children, and a passion for teaching and patient care. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision of BCBA or BCaBA
- Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding as part of comprehensive care plans
- Use behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and functional skills through structured teaching methods
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality
- Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Engage in ongoing training related to medical terminology, behavioral health, and special education strategies
Qualifications
- Certified RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) or eligible for certification with relevant coursework completed
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and data collection techniques
- Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and implementing behavior intervention plans
- Strong understanding of medical documentation, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with diverse populations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting
- Prior experience in special education or behavioral health is preferred but not required
