Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to provide support and education to clients, helping them achieve their behavioral goals through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA.
- Provide direct support to children and individuals in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral health concepts and strategies for improvement.
- Assist in the development of care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Monitor and document client progress, maintaining accurate records of sessions and behaviors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in the application of behavioral strategies.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively while communicating with healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Strong understanding of patient care practices within a behavioral health context.
- Ability to assist clients in achieving personal goals through structured support and encouragement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
