The Unit Manager is a nurse leader who provides direction, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care for assigned area on a 24-hour bases. He/she maintains current knowledge regarding techniques, skills, current practices, and regulations for the age and populations of patients served. He/she manages all personnel, supplies, and equipment necessary to facilitate quality patient care. Also functions as a Staff RN occasionally. Overall responsibility is to drive a medically managed acute care psychiatric system assuring a state of the art therapeutic milieu accompanies the provision of medically managed services.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required:Demonstrated supervisory skills.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Currently licensed as an RN with Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Credential (BC) in North Carolina
- MSN, , PNP-, or equivalent
Minimum Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years recent clinical nursing management experience in a psychiatric setting
