As a Clinical Therapist in our treatment center, you will be providing assistance to individuals with varying levels of mental health disorders. Your role is to provide high-quality care using evidence-based modalities to help clients heal and recover. This position will be responsible for performing client care, providing group therapy, treatment planning, and coordinating discharge planning.This is a new position in support of recently expanded evening services, part of our Intensive Outpatient Program and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offerings. As this position supports evening programming, applicants should be ideally available to work evening shifts.At minimum, this position requires one evening shift per week (1pm to 9pm). All other shifts will be during the day (8am to 4pm). If a candidate prefers to work evening shifts more often or exclusively, that can gladly be accommodated. - Valid masters-level clinical licensure in the State of Maine as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). These licenses must be at least conditionally licensed, ideally fully-issued.
- One year (1) of experience preferred in providing individual therapy and group sessions. Equivalent experience in behavioral health can also be considered.
- Must be able to demonstrate competency in recognizing the unique needs and behavior of clients.
- A masters degree in a relevant field is required, ideally in psychology, counseling, social work, or another clinical field.
- Participates in and leads therapeutic groups and activities and functions as an active member of the team.
- Demonstrates clinical treatment in compliance with JCAHO standards.
- Recognizes the unique needs and behaviors of the clients.
- Assists in preparation of utilization review monthly reports.
- Provides assessments with empathy and concern for clients and arrives at accurate diagnoses by the end of the evaluation session and updates when new information and clinical status warrant.
- Provides clinical consultation and guidance to staff consistent with their needs.
- Assists program supervisor to perform chart reviews.
- Takes a lead role in the coordination and assessment of all intakes and referrals to assigned programs.
- Acts as liaison with all referral sources, and community-based services.
