Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors to provide in person session to our children and teen clients 2-5 days per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling, art therapy and play therapy. This role involves providing individual sessions, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the needs of clients. The counselor will work in the afternoon to early evening hours on flexible days.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations for clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Provide psychotherapy utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.
- Facilitate individual sessions, focusing on issues such as ADHD, Anxiety, PTSD, adjustments to school, divorce or moving, and/or behavioral management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions
- Stay updated on ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes.
Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of a master's degree in counseling or art therapy and be LICENSED or permitted to work in New York. Experience working with children is required. Previous experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is beneficial. Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and case management practices is essential. Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
