Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor/Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent mental health situations effectively while ensuring client safety.
• Provide specialized counseling for issues including addiction, grief, PTSD, gender identity concerns, and chronic pain management.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans and coordinate care for clients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder or disabilities.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services remotely, ensuring accessible care for all clients regardless of location.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or certification as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist or equivalent in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and crisis management.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management within behavioral health settings.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations; experience in outpatient or inpatient clinical environments is advantageous.
