Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Family Service Counselor based in Sarasota, FL. The Family Service Counselor will assist families in planning and coordinating personalized funeral and cemetery arrangements, ensuring each experience meets the needs and wishes of the families served. Responsibilities include providing support and guidance, explaining service options, preparing and completing contracts, and maintaining long-term relationships with families to ensure ongoing satisfaction with services.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work compassionately with families and diverse communities.
• Proficiency in sales and customer service to provide tailored solutions and ensure client satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and administrative skills for managing contracts and service plans.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and software, including basic office programs and databases.
• Experience in the death care or customer service industry is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in relevant fields are a plus.
