Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA) Therapist to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
- Conduct behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify client needs and establish treatment goals
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Provide direct therapy sessions with children and individuals with disabilities, utilizing techniques suited for working with individuals with autism and other developmental challenges
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational teams to support generalization of skills across environments
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and HIPAA-compliant patient files in accordance with privacy regulations
- Participate in intake procedures and ongoing patient assessments to ensure personalized care plans are effective and up-to-date
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, special education, or a related field; certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities using behavioral therapy techniques
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), medical terminology, and behavioral health practices
- Ability to collect detailed data during therapy sessions and maintain precise medical records
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate approach combined with a proactive attitude toward patient assessment and care planning
