BrightQuest Treatment Center in Nashville, TN is hiring a Group Art Therapist!
- This position would work once per week at our center in Nashville, TN.
Primary Purpose and Function
The Group Art Therapist is responsible for providing group art therapy to clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and facilitate therapeutic art sessions tailored to the specific needs and goals of various groups.
- Assess group members' needs and progress using clinical observation and standardized assessments.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and confidential environment that encourages expression and interaction.
- Document client sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychologists, and medical staff, to provide holistic care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Attainment of at least 18 years of age.
- Master’s in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work Preferred.
- One year full-time experience working directly with clients in a program serving people with mental illness preferred.
- Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.
- Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
- Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check.
