Role Description

This is a role for a Clinical Social Work Intern. Based in Lincoln, NE, the position offers a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility to complete assigned training and observation as the intern prepares for initial licensure. The Clinical Social Work Intern will be responsible for learning to evaluate clients' needs, develop personalized treatment plans, provide mental health and behavioral health support, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. This role also involves managing client cases, addressing social determinants of health, and serving as an advocate for clients to connect them with relevant resources and support systems.


The position is promotable to Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practioner pending completion of PLMHP licensure requirements.


Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Social Work and Psychotherapy
  • Experience with coordinating services and resources for clients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model with some tasks performed remotely
  • An anticipated Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is an advantage
  • Commitment to providing culturally competent and inclusive care



Compensation


The ideal candidate will be compensated for the completion of training modules on a per project basis and for observations and attendance at team meetings on an hourly basis. Upon promotion following licensure, the Intern will transition to W-2 employment.
