Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals and families facing various challenges. Duties
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide mental health counseling and support through individual and group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and psychopharmacology in client assessments.
- Advocate for clients by connecting them with community resources and support services.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and shared experiences among clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in group therapy techniques and mental health counseling.
- Strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to patient care.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and clinical counseling practices.
- Ability to maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation.
- Experience with Christian counseling is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and healthcare teams.
- Empathy, patience, and strong problem-solving abilities to address client concerns effectively.
