Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Counselor to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on patient assessments, clinical data collection, and research findings.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of patient records and accurate medical records management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical staff, and community care providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with mental health research, diagnostic criteria (ICD coding), CPT coding for billing purposes, and best practices in behavioral health.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy and family counseling.
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders such as PTSD, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and behavioral health conditions.
- Skilled in intervention techniques, case management strategies, and behavioral management approaches.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations effectively.
