Position: Senior BCBA
Location: In Clinic
Status: Full-Time

The Senior BCBA provides strategic clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and compliant ABA services across the organization. This role supports the Clinical Director in overseeing clinical programming, staff performance, and service delivery while driving consistency, accountability, and growth across teams.

The Senior BCBA plays a critical role in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting business operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing strong clinical leaders within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide oversight of multiple clinical teams and caseloads to ensure high-quality ABA service delivery
  • Review and approve treatment plans, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and program updates
  • Provide guidance on complex, high-risk, or escalated cases
  • Ensure implementation of evidence-based practices and maintain treatment integrity
  • Oversee Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and ensure clinical accuracy

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop BCBAs and supervisors
  • Support performance management, including evaluations, corrective actions, and growth plans
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing training for clinical staff
  • Promote leadership development and succession planning within the clinical team
  • Ensure RBT supervision requirements are met in accordance with BACB standards

Operations & Clinic Performance

  • Partner with leadership to manage clinic operations, staffing, and capacity planning
  • Monitor productivity metrics, billable hours, and utilization rates across teams
  • Assist with scheduling oversight to ensure adequate supervision and service coverage
  • Identify and resolve operational barriers impacting service delivery
  • Support clinic expansion, new client onboarding, and service line growth

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with BACB and commercial insurance requirements
  • Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external audits
  • Oversee documentation quality, including session notes, supervision notes, and progress reports
  • Ensure services meet medical necessity and payer authorization requirements
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance systems, including fidelity checks and chart reviews

Billing & Authorization Oversight

  • Monitor utilization of authorized hours and ensure alignment with treatment plans
  • Audit clinical billing practices for accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with billing and intake teams to resolve authorization or claim issues
  • Provide training to staff on documentation and billing requirements
  • Support denials management and appeals as needed

Family & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Provide guidance on parent training and support strategies
  • Participate in or lead parent meetings for complex or escalated cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers (e.g., speech, OT, schools)
  • Address client concerns, escalations, and service-related issues

Data & Program Development

  • Ensure data-driven decision-making across all clinical programs
  • Monitor client outcomes and adjust programming as needed
  • Support development and standardization of clinical protocols and systems
  • Analyze trends to improve service delivery and client progress

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Active BCBA certification and Arizona state licensure (LBA)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in ABA, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, and ABA compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, performance, and clinic operations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year
