At Mindful Therapy Group, we know clinicians do their best work when they have space — space to think, to breathe, to care, and to build something that truly reflects who they are. Mindful was founded in 2011 by a clinician and a former RN with a simple intention: create a model where mental health professionals can establish their own private practices without having to shoulder the entire weight of business ownership alone. Here, you run your own practice while we take on the operational, administrative, and logistical work that often leads to burnout.

You’re compensated fairly for the care you provide, supported by teams who understand the realities of this field, and given the infrastructure you need to build a practice that’s both clinically meaningful and financially sustainable. With the right foundation behind you, private practice becomes less about surviving the business side and more about doing the work you’re trained to do — with clarity, intention, and long-term stability.

Expectations of Partnership:

  • Commit to investing in starting and growing your private practice, including obtaining a business license, professional liability insurance, and maintaining a professional profile (e.g., Psychology Today, business website).
  • Participate in weekly business setup and coaching sessions to ensure ongoing guidance, accountability, and support in managing and growing your practice.
  • Maintain consistent client availability to support continuity of care.
  • Conduct evaluations, assessments, documentation, and treatment plans that meet clinical, ethical, and payor standards.
  • Complete chart notes, charge slips, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Practice within your licensure scope, uphold professional ethics, and safeguard client confidentiality.
  • Maintain active clinical licensure in your state of residence and any states in which you provide services.

Partnership Services Include:

  • Onboarding – A guided, structured launch process that removes the guesswork so you can get your practice off the ground quickly and confidently.
  • Credentialing – End-to-end payer enrollment handled for you, with expedited paneling timelines.
  • Compliance – Ongoing support to help you stay aligned with state, federal, and insurance requirements—protecting your license and your practice.
  • Billing & Patient A/R – Full-service billing with follow-through on aging claims, so your cashflow is consistent and you’re paid accurately for the work you do.
  • Intake & Scheduling – A dedicated team that fields inquiries, screens clients, and schedules appointments, giving you and your practice consistency.
  • Financial Partnership – Transparent reporting, predictable payouts, and a business model designed to grow your revenue—not dilute it.
  • Marketing – Professional visibility through our website, education and training on how to advertise for your practice, and ongoing demand generation to attract the right clients.
  • Technology – Secure, reliable tools and systems that streamline the business side of practice without requiring tech expertise.
  • EHR Platform – A fully managed, easy-to-use EHR with templates, telehealth capabilities, and integrated features to simplify documentation and workflows.
  • Office Space – Professionally designed, fully managed and furnished clinical spaces so you can offer a consistent, welcoming in-person experience without a lease commitment.
  • Account Management – A dedicated point of contact focused on helping you optimize your practice, troubleshoot issues, and support your long-term goals.
  • Patient Privacy Guardrails – Systems, training, and safeguards that keep you compliant, your clients protected, and your practice low-risk.
  • Practice Management – Ongoing operational support and business guidance that allow you to grow, refine, and sustain your practice over time.
  • Supervision Program – Designed to support both pre-licensed and fully licensed providers. Pre-licensed therapists can gain access to insurance panels while accruing clinical hours toward licensure. Licensed providers have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision and mentorship, expanding their leadership experience and supporting the next generation of clinicians.
