Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans designed to improve their quality of life. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Duties

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Assist clients in developing essential life skills through structured activities and interventions.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to promote positive behaviors.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with special education professionals and other team members to support the development of effective care plans.
• Monitor client behavior and provide behavior management strategies as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Experience in behavioral health or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies.
• Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to document client progress accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• A compassionate approach to assisting clients in achieving their goals while promoting independence.
• Ability to be punctual and reliable for any sessions assigned.
• Ability to lift 40+lbs.
• Must be able to assume a variety of positions and postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, and standing) for extended periods of time,
• Must be able to assist the client in daily activities and maintain the client and your own personal safety at all times.

Assistance with Certifications: Changing Stories Autism Services and Consultation, PLLC will pay expenses for obtaining and renewing BACB, CPR, and Safety-Care certifications. CPR certification and Safety Care must be obtained within 30 days of start of employment. RBT status must be obtained within 180 days from the start date of employment unless currently holding said certification.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
