Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill development.
  • Collect accurate data on client progress, behaviors, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks, to support independence.
  • Support clients in educational settings by reinforcing teaching strategies and facilitating skill acquisition aligned with their care plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling medical records, documentation, and client information.
  • Collaborate closely with BCBA supervisors, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions on behavioral management techniques, medical terminology, and documentation standards to enhance your professional skills.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and experience applying ABA techniques in real-world settings.
  • Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
  • Ability to assist clients with ADLs while maintaining patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Excellent data collection skills to track progress accurately and contribute to care plan adjustments.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and the importance of maintaining detailed medical records.
  • Effective teaching skills to support skill development across various domains such as communication, socialization, and self-care.
