Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize clinic flow.
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, follow-up appointments, and inquiries about vision therapy.
- Coordinate with staff to prepare patient charts and ensure necessary documentation is completed for each visit.
- Assist with verifying insurance details and processing payments or co-pays at the time of service.
- Maintain a clean, organized front office, exam and vision therapy environment and ensure all administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
- Support the team by handling phone calls, answering inquiries, and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a medical or educational setting is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to provide excellent administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
- Office experience demonstrating proficiency with scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), or similar systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external partners.
