Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Job Overview

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and detail-oriented Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities, providing one-on-one therapy based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

This position plays a vital role in promoting meaningful behavior change and enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions in various settings (home, school, clinic).
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect and document accurate, timely data on client behavior and skill acquisition.
  • Support clients in developing essential daily living and social communication skills.
  • Assist in behavior reduction strategies to promote a safe and productive environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on client progress.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with families, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation and session notes are completed in compliance with company and insurance standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • RBT Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to hire).
  • Experience working with children or individuals with autism/developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention techniques.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and report behavioral data.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health documentation and record-keeping.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and reliability.
