Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Job Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and detail-oriented Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities, providing one-on-one therapy based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
This position plays a vital role in promoting meaningful behavior change and enhancing the overall quality of life for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions in various settings (home, school, clinic).
- Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and document accurate, timely data on client behavior and skill acquisition.
- Support clients in developing essential daily living and social communication skills.
- Assist in behavior reduction strategies to promote a safe and productive environment.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on client progress.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with families, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation and session notes are completed in compliance with company and insurance standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- RBT Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to hire).
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism/developmental disabilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and behavior intervention techniques.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and report behavioral data.
- Familiarity with behavioral health documentation and record-keeping.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and reliability.
