Key Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation & Chart Support

  • Complete and/or assist with:
  • Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
  • Quarterly Reviews & Updates
  • Comprehensive Multidimensional Assessments
  • Initial SARs and Continued Stays
  • Ensure documentation meets:
  • DMAS requirements
  • CARF standards
  • Agency policies and timelines

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Review charts for:
  • Accuracy
  • Completeness
  • Medical necessity
  • Identify documentation deficiencies and communicate required corrections to staff
  • Assist with internal audits and audit preparation

Clinical Oversight Support

  • Provide guidance to CSAC, Admin, and Support Staff on:
  • Proper documentation standards
  • Treatment planning
  • Clinical language and justification
  • Assist in strengthening overall documentation practices across programs

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with intake documentation when needed
  • Support development of treatment plans and updates
  • Participate in clinical team meetings
  • Assist with policy and documentation improvements
  • Provide limited case consultation as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be one of the following:
  • Licensed: LPC, LCSW, LMFT
  • License-Eligible:
  • Resident in Counseling
  • Supervisee in Social Work
  • Strong experience with:
  • Clinical documentation
  • ISP development
  • Behavioral health assessments
  • Knowledge of:
  • Medicaid (DMAS) requirements
  • CARF standards (HIGHLY preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization

Ideal Candidate

  • Highly organized and documentation-focused
  • Comfortable holding staff accountable for corrections
  • Experienced in audits or quality assurance (BIG PLUS)
  • Able to work independently and efficiently

Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Licensed or License-Eligible Clinician to support clinical documentation and compliance within our behavioral health programs. This role focuses heavily on chart quality, documentation completion, and audit readiness, including ISP development, quarterly reviews, and comprehensive assessments.

This is an ideal position for a clinician who prefers structured, behind-the-scenes clinical work rather than a full caseload.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
