Job Summary
I’m looking for an LMSW to join my trauma-focused practice in a part-time role (up to 15 hours per week). This is a gentle, steady build rather than a full caseload from the start, so it’s important to come in with that expectation. This role tends to suit someone who has some flexibility and is able to grow into the work over time, rather than needing immediate volume.
The work we do is meaningful and, at times, complex. As a trauma-focused practice, we often sit with depth, nuance, and slower-paced clinical work. I’m looking for someone who is open to being on a learning curve—curious, reflective, and engaged in their own development as a clinician. You don’t need to have everything figured out, but you do need a sense of your own capacity and the ability to balance this role alongside your other commitments.
This position does require a level of independence. You should feel comfortable managing your time, taking initiative, and thoughtfully problem-solving when things arise. At the same time, you’ll be supported in your clinical growth and thinking.
There is a strong preference for clinicians who are EMDR-trained (or actively in training). This role also offers the opportunity to deepen your EMDR work and to learn and integrate parts work (IFS-informed approaches) into your practice.
This is an opportunity to earn clinical (“C”) hours in a setting that values depth, intentionality, and meaningful clinical development.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent, gradually building caseload with reliability and continuity of care
- Provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapy within scope of practice
- Complete timely, thoughtful documentation (treatment plans, progress notes, diagnoses)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals
- Manage scheduling, communication, and administrative tasks in a professional and organized manner
- Attend and actively engage in supervision (weekly/biweekly), with openness to feedback
- Work independently with sound clinical judgment, while seeking support when needed
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and practice policies
- Demonstrate strong time management, self-awareness, and responsibility for personal capacity
- Engage in ongoing clinical learning, including EMDR-informed work (if trained/in training) and openness to parts work (IFS-informed approaches)
