Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in , . This full-time position operates from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral interventions and support their growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), experience working with children, and a passion for improving the lives of those with special needs. This role involves direct patient care, data collection, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop and follow individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on individualized treatment plans.
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene.
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and life skills through teaching strategies.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records.
- Document all sessions thoroughly in accordance with medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in care plans.
- Monitor client responses to interventions and report any concerns or progress promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical guidelines related to behavioral health and patient care.
Skills
- Experience with behavioral therapy techniques, particularly applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining patience and professionalism.
- Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical records management.
- Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care.
