Overview
TSP Education, a national Special Education staffing firm, is hiring a School Psychologist for a great school district partner in South Carolina for the 26/27 school year. For consideration, the following are mandatory requirements: a Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology, an active South Carolina PPS credential with School Psychology authorization, and experience in a K-12 school setting.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students’ strengths and needs, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique requirements.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on child and family counseling, behavioral health, social-emotional learning, and crisis intervention.
- Design and oversee safety plans and crisis management strategies to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective behavior management plans and support strategies.
- Facilitate early intervention services and conduct intake assessments for students requiring specialized support.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and detailed reports in compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
- Active state license.
- Proven experience working with children in educational settings, including special education environments.
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing tools, diagnostic evaluation procedures, and applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with IEP development processes, behavioral health interventions, crisis management protocols, and conflict management strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and records.
