Assignment Experience (What You Can Expect)

- Provide social work services to students, families, and school staff
- Exposure to multiple grade levels (PreK–12 opportunities)
- Collaborative teams including Counselors, Psychologists, Intervention Specialists, and Administration
- Opportunities to support MTSS / RTI, SEL initiatives, and school-wide programs
Your Impact as a School-Based Social Worker
You’ll support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development while helping schools address barriers to learning and foster a positive school environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling and social work services
- Support academic planning and social-emotional development
- Collaborate on IEPs, 504 plans, and intervention strategies as appropriate
- Partner with educators, families, and school staff to support student success
- Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral support, and referral services
- Support school-wide initiatives such as SEL programs and MTSS
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Social Worker license or certification (state-specific) LiSW preffered
- School-based experience preferred, but newer professionals encouraged to apply — mentorship available
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Passion for supporting student growth, mental health, and family engagement
