Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support to enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation and medical records.
- Assist in the development of care plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions, focusing on behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce strategies at home and in community settings.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information while adhering to ethical guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in special education and behavioral health.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and special education practices.
- Ability to develop rapport with clients, families, and team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
