Overview
Join our dedicated Child Study Team as a vital member committed to supporting students' educational and emotional development.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 20–30 students, ensuring comprehensive support and compliance with all requirements
  • Facilitate and support student-centered and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Conduct informal observations to assess student needs and inform programming
  • Oversee the development and implementation of each student’s IEP in accordance with regulations for out-of-district placements
  • Serve as the primary liaison between families and sending districts, fostering strong communication and collaboration
  • Provide coaching, consultation, and feedback to teaching staff to support effective practices
  • Deliver in-class support to students and staff as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (Education, Speech, OT, PT, Nursing) to support individualized student programming
  • Support the implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies aligned with student needs
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to expand knowledge in areas such as assistive technology, mobility supports, and specialized curriculum
  • Provide families and staff with resources, strategies, and guidance to address students’ individual needs
  • Connect families with appropriate community-based resources
  • Organize and facilitate parent/family information sessions
  • Design and lead staff trainings and in-service presentations on professional development days
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, especially within special education.
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Education
  • NJ School Social Work, Psychology or LDT-C Certificate
  • NJ State licensure in respective discipline
  • Familiarity with IEP development processes and legal requirements related to special education services.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and implementing individualized support plans.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, nurses, related services and families to promote positive outcomes for students.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
