Job Overview
Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Services Coordinator- Transportation Team- Remote in VA!
Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: This is a remote position in VA with quarterly travel to VA Beach office for priority meetings
Job responsibilities:
Processing requests for over mileage transportation requests/reimbursement/caregiver benefit in JIVA
Processing food and lodging requests as related to transportation request
Coordinating with members to identify providers within the 50-mile radius
Issuing administrative denials for services related with providers
Education
HS – High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
None required
Experience
Healthcare- Previous Experience REQUIRED
Health Plan, Medical and/or Behavioral Health experience preferred
Jiva or EHR/EMR experience preferred
Government Program or Commercial experience preferred
