Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s unique needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Supervise caregiving staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain exceptional resident care standards.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, families, and community resources to optimize resident well-being.
- Manage operational aspects such as budgeting, staffing schedules, and resource allocation to ensure smooth facility functioning.
- Lead efforts in resident engagement activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall quality of life.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to assisted living, nursing home standards, and long-term care requirements.
Skills
- Extensive experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of senior care and memory care practices.
- Proven supervisory experience in group homes or retirement communities with leadership skills that inspire teams.
- Knowledge of care planning processes for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease; familiarity with medication management.
- Strong background in operations management, budgeting, and financial acumen within healthcare settings.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory care services.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
