Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to nursing homes and assisted living faciliteies. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their wellness goals. Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing, to identify mental health conditions and inform treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral health interventions, and psychotherapy techniques
- Manage crisis intervention situations with prompt, effective responses to ensure patient safety and stability
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidential medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers and families to coordinate comprehensive care strategies
- Offer telehealth services to expand access to mental health support across various settings such as inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics or community programs
- Conduct intake assessments and monitor progress through ongoing patient evaluation and adjustment of treatment approaches
Experience
- Proven experience in clinical counseling within the geriatric population
- Skilled in crisis intervention techniques for acute mental health episodes or trauma-related cases
- Proficiency in conducting psychological testing for diagnostic evaluation purposes
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for handling medical records and patient data
- Ability to deliver services via telehealth platforms effectively and securely
- Background in research related to behavioral health or mental health topics is advantageous
