Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. As an RBT, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, support clients in developing essential skills, and promote positive behavior change. Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients' developmental goals.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and feeding, fostering independence and self-care skills.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress accurately to inform treatment plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, and families to ensure consistency across environments and maximize therapeutic outcomes.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records related to client progress, treatment modifications, and behavioral health status.
- Promote a safe, respectful environment that encourages positive behavior management strategies and patient care.
- Adhere to all confidentiality standards related to medical records and client information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Ability to assist with ADLs and teach functional life skills effectively.
- Competence in data collection, analysis, and documentation to monitor client progress accurately.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members professionally.
- Understanding of medical terminology, healthcare documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
