Remote Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC)—1099 Contractor | Telehealth

Join Brightside Health as a 100% remote, 1099 contractor therapist. Build a flexible, sustainable telehealth practice with steady referrals, free CEUs, malpractice coverage, and strong clinical support.

86% of our patients experience meaningful improvement within 12 weeks.

About Brightside Health

At Brightside Health, we’re redefining telehealth through evidence-based, measurement-driven behavioral health care. Our model combines proven clinical frameworks with technology and human-centered care to deliver real outcomes—and our data backs it up.

We are uniquely positioned with specialized programs including:

  • Suicide Prevention Program (CAMS training provided)
  • Teen Therapy Program
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for mental health and substance use

Our therapists choose Brightside for the ability to build a flexible, sustainable private practice with strong clinical and operational support—and the freedom to do meaningful work on their own terms.

Is This Role a Fit?

This role is a great fit if you're a licensed psychotherapist who wants:

  • Flexibility without isolation—set your own schedule with a built-in clinical community
  • Clinical depth without admin overload—we handle billing, credentialing, and insurance so you don't have to
  • A steady caseload without the marketing—we bring the referrals to you
  • Meaningful, high-impact work—with outcome data to prove it

Minimum availability: 9 hours per week across at least 2 days. Many therapists start here and grow their caseload at their own pace.

About the Role

We are hiring licensed Remote Mental Health Therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, LCPC, LICSW, LISW, LIMHP, PsyD, PhD) to deliver high-quality telehealth therapy across our general mental health program. Therapists also have the opportunity to opt into specialized care tracks including Suicide Prevention, Teen Therapy, and IOP.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver weekly telehealth (video-based) therapy sessions to individuals across a range of behavioral health conditions
  • Apply evidence-based approaches including CBT and the Unified Protocol (UP); additional modalities such as ACT, DBT, and EMDR are welcomed
  • Use measurement-based care to track progress via digital assessments
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and fellow therapists for integrated care
  • Maintain documentation using our AI-enabled, HIPAA-compliant EMR

Why Join Brightside?

  • Proven clinical impact: 86% of patients improve within 12 weeks
  • True flexibility: Build your ideal private practice caseload and set your own pace—protect your work-life balance and avoid burnout while doing meaningful work
  • Specialized clinical opportunities: Opt into Suicide Prevention (with free CAMS training), Teen Therapy, and IOP programs
  • Strong clinical support: Case consult groups, clinical advisors, peer collaboration, and ongoing professional development
  • Tech-enabled care: AI-powered EMR, measurement-based care tools, and streamlined HIPAA-compliant workflows
  • Steady referrals: Consistent client demand so you can grow your practice quickly

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: $83-103 per 53+ minute session, depending on state and program participation
  • Payment protection: Get paid for no-shows and late cancellations
  • Free malpractice insurance coverage included
  • Free CEUs + CAMS suicide prevention training
  • 100% remote, flexible 1099 contractor role
  • Flexible scheduling: Create your own schedule, Monday–Sunday, 7am–9pm
  • Dedicated operational support: Billing, credentialing, insurance, and IT handled for you
  • Self-paced onboarding: Primarily asynchronous—move at your own pace and typically be seeing clients within 3–4 weeks
  • AI-powered documentation tools to reduce admin burden
  • Health insurance guidance available through Stride Health

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • Active independent license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, LCPC, LICSW, LISW, PsyD, PhD)
  • 2+ years experience delivering CBT and other evidence-based therapies to adults
  • Experience with telehealth or online therapy
  • Comfortable treating diverse populations across behavioral health conditions
  • Tech-comfortable and open to digital tools in care delivery
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 9 hours of availability per week across at least 2 days
  • Experience with higher-acuity populations and/or adolescents preferred
  • Multi-state licensure a strong plus
