Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated RB-BHT to join our team. The RB-BHT will provide direct support and therapeutic services to clients in a behavioral health setting. This role focuses on promoting emotional wellness, teaching coping skills, supporting treatment goals, and assisting clients with daily functioning in a safe and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and supervision to clients in residential, outpatient, or community-based settings
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed clinicians
  • Support clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthy behaviors
  • Document client progress, incidents, and daily notes accurately and timely
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups and skill-building activities as assigned
  • Monitor client behavior and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and leadership team
  • Transport clients to appointments or community outings if required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse, or direct care preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with crisis management and de-escalation
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care
  • Familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
