Part-Time Children's Mental Health Therapist - LCSW or LMCHC - Charlotte, NC

Pediatric Advanced Therapy (PAT, A Division of Joybridge Kids) is seeking a Children's Mental Health Therapist - LCSW, or LCMHC to work part-time at our Charlotte, NC clinic. Fully licensed LCSW or LCMHC is preferred but associate level clinicians are also considered with 1+ year(s) of experience.

Schedule: 3 days/week, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays

PAT is a multi-disciplinary pediatric clinic offering occupational, physical and speech therapies, counseling and ABA. We are the largest pediatric clinic in the Carolinas and have a tight-knit and supportive team that works collaboratively in treatment.

We currently offer counseling at all of our locations. While our primary clientele includes children with special needs, our practice provides counseling for all pediatric diagnoses.

Part-Time Children's Mental Health Therapist - LCSW or LMCHC - Charlotte, NC Job Requirements

  • Use the DSM to evaluate clients
  • Create a plan of treatment using goals and objectives to address the patient’s diagnosis
  • Provide child, family and parent therapy sessions to support treatment goals
  • Provide group counseling sessions
  • (1) of the following: Master’s degree in social work (LCSW) or Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling (LCMHC)
  • Ideal candidate should have a flexible schedule to see patients in afternoon/early evening for after-school hours

Part-Time Children's Mental Health Therapist - LCSW or LMCHC - Charlotte, NC Experience

  • At least one year of pediatric counseling/therapy experience
  • Facilitation of group pediatric therapy
  • Familiarity in working with all or some of the following diagnoses: Autism, eating disorders, mental illness (aggressive behavior, outbursts, defiance), RAD, suicidal thoughts/ideation
  • Preferably already paneled with insurance companies

Experience:

  • pediatric therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
