Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your work will help clients develop essential skills, improve behavior management, and enhance their quality of life. Duties

  • Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques based on personalized care plans developed by BCBAs
  • Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions with precision and attention to detail
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and communication skills development
  • Support clients during teaching sessions to promote skill acquisition in areas like social interaction, communication, and self-care
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations when handling medical documentation and client records
  • Collaborate with team members to adjust intervention strategies as needed for optimal outcomes
  • Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages learning and growth for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
  • Strong passion for working with children and individuals with special needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to assist with ADLs and support behavioral health needs effectively
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and basic data collection methods is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and families effectively
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification within specified timeframes is highly desirable
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility in dynamic settings
