Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:
The Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA's) assess people with intellectual disabilities and mental health illness and implement plans to improve behavior. They work in a holistic campus setting to include building, school and community areas. BCBA's assist the interdisciplinary team in developing goals for the clients, and provide support to clients and staff by coordinating and providing plans based in applied behavior analysis. BCBA's may complete behavior support plans independently. They also train staff and provide supervision.

Examples of Duties:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to understand theroot causes of behaviors.
- Develop individualized behavior support plans based on thefunctional behavior assessment.
- Create and maintain data systems, including regularlycollecting data to track client progress and to make adjustments as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and family members.
- Support other members on the behavior health team.
- Provide behavioral training.
- Provide or oversee supervision for behavioral staff asneeded.
- Ensure behavior support plans follow ethical guidelines,relevant regulations, and in accordance with best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques inapplied behavior analysis.
- Assist team in crisis intervention and de-escalation asneeded.
- Supervise fieldwork hours for BCBA/RBT certification.
Qualifications
Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:
- Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectualor other developmental disabilities
Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:
- Strong foundation in applied behavioral analysis
- Strong skills in data systems; including data collection,analysis, presentation, and using data to inform treatment
- Flexible and adaptable team member
- Collaborate across the interdisciplinary team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Google and Microsoft applications
- Experience in developing and implementing effective behaviorsupport plans
- Experience in conducting thorough and efficient functionalbehavior assessment
- Ability to create and provide effective training
- Experience in supervising behaviorists or RBTs
