Note: Trauma Healing Therapy (THT) is a completely out-of-network (OON) provider. As such, we are NOT accepting therapists who are paneled with private insurance (either directly or through third parties like Rula, Grow, etc.) or who are opted into Medicare. We also DO NOT offer medical benefits at this time.

Position Overview: The Licensed Psychotherapist or Psychologist (LMFT, LMSW, LPC, PhD/PsyD) will provide psychotherapy services to clients of Trauma Healing Therapy (THT). Clinical therapy services will include treatment of adult and teen/minor individuals, couples /families at this time. If you have held supervisory jobs and/or have held your license for 3+ years its a big plus! We are currently looking for a full-time Licensed Psychotherapist or Psychologist in the State of California who is ready to be a part of a dynamic, kind, growing, and collaborative team. This position is in person in our Cupertino office location. We are looking for a clinician with experience working with trauma clients, with preference given to those who have completed formal trauma training (such as EMDR basic training EMDRIA-approved, Brainspotting, TF-CBT, DBT, etc.).

Some Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments with clients (individuals minors and adults, couples /families ) and provide in-person clinical counseling services to clients of Trauma Healing Therapy in accordance with company policies.
  • The candidate has the ability to work 4 PM shifts (2pm-8pm) and 1 AM shifts (8am-2pm).
  • Respond to clients’ requests for services or calls within 24-36 hours during scheduled shifts, whether such requests are made via email, phone, voicemail, or through the THT website.
  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (e.g., primary care provider, psychiatrist) as necessary.
  • Complete written records for each client, including intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other required documents, within 24 hours of rendered therapy services. This is a critical condition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and any required work-related training.
  • Run psychoeducational workshops in the community or psychotherapy groups as needed.
  • Adhere to all practice and professional procedures

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be in alignment with THT’s mission, vision, and values.
  • PhD/PsyD in Psychology or Master degree (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) in psychology or a related field.
  • Active, unrestricted license as a psychotherapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) or Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) in the State of California. A copy of the license must be provided to THT, and the license must remain active throughout employment. Immediate notification to THT is required if the license is suspended, restricted, revoked, or canceled.
  • We are looking for a clinician with experience working with trauma clients, with preference given to those who have completed formal trauma training (such as EMDR basic training EMDRIA-approved, Brainspotting, TF-CBT, etc).
  • Candidates with formal training and experience working and/or training on couples/family therapy modalities are also strongly encouraged to apply (i.e., EFT, Gottman Method). Therapist that work with kids and teens are also highly encouraged to apply.
  • Adherence to all laws, rules, regulations, and ethical codes governing psychological practice in California.
  • Reliable attendance, timely arrival, and commitment to maintaining a minimum weekly caseload of 25 clients .
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compassionate demeanor, strong work ethic, and ability to provide professional counseling services aligned with THT’s mission.
  • Proficiency in EHR, Google Workspace, and video conferencing platforms.
  • Attention to detail and advanced organization skills are a must!
  • Able to work in a team and to function independently/with minimal supervision after initial training
