We are seeking an experienced LCSW who will advocate for patients to help them gain access to resources while addressing challenges such as mental illness, addiction, and abuse. Combine your clinical skills with an opportunity to work in a hospital setting in Carmichael, CA.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited educational program.Current LCSW license in good standing with the California licensing board.Two years of supervised clinical experience providing mental health services.Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.California 5150 certification required. Candidate must have completed the 5150 training program and passed the required exam with a minimum 80% score, or demonstrate prior verified completion.Prior experience working within Dignity Health or CommonSpirit-affiliated facilities in California is required. Travel or permanent experience with CA Dignity facilities qualifies. Candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered; candidates directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility within the past year are not eligible.Experience with Cerner electronic health record preferred.Ability to provide two supervisory references at submittal: one within the past 12 months and one within the past 3 years. Charge nurse reference accepted.Preferred: prior hospital social work experience in acute or psychiatric settings.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Shift: Days.Schedule pattern: 5x8, every other week on-call or evening/weekend coverage as assigned (EOW float expectations noted).Float requirement: First to float to other units as needed.Orientation: 12 hours.Assignment duration: 13-week assignment beginning in May 2026 and ending in August 2026.Location HighlightsCarmichael, CA offers convenient access to regional and outdoor attractions.
