Social Worker | Hamden, Connecticut

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a school setting located in Hamden, CT. This contract role runs from ASAP through June and involves serving two schools within the district. The position focuses on delivering comprehensive social work services aimed at promoting the well-being and success of all assigned students.

Responsibilities include conducting a variety of evaluations such as initial assessments, re-evaluations, annual reviews, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). The role requires close collaboration with educational teams, families, and community resources to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs effectively. This professional will manage a caseload across K-12 grades ensuring individualized support and intervention.

Key Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Social Work
• Valid Connecticut Certification in Social Work (071)
• Proven experience conducting school-based social work evaluations including FBAs and BIPs
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage caseload effectively within a dynamic school environment
