School Social Worker - Saint Paul, MN

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed School Social Worker opportunity is available for a 0.9 FTE contract position located onsite in Saint Paul, MN. This role offers approximately 5 weeks of temporary assignment, providing coverage for an FMLA leave from early April through early May. The position involves supporting a student population across grades 3 through 12, with a current caseload of 23 students receiving direct services, soon increasing as additional students join after spring break.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect social work services addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Support students facing challenges that may impact academic success
• Fulfill special education due process duties including serving as an administrative designee on IEP teams
• Facilitate meetings, accurately document notes, and complete necessary due process paperwork
• Collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and administrators to foster student achievement
• Run social skills groups alongside individual student meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in education or a closely related field
• Current license as a School Social Worker issued by the state Department of Education
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred
