Are you passionate about helping children find safe, permanent homes? Families United Network is looking for a dedicated Permanency Specialist to lead and support our adoption and permanency efforts. In this role, you'll work closely with foster children, resource families, and partner agencies to help create lasting, meaningful connections.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and support adoption and permanency planning for children in care
  • Partner with foster and adoptive families to navigate the adoption process
  • Serve as a resource to Case Managers and families on permanency-related topics
  • Provide adoption orientation and education to families
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies
  • Help plan and participate in adoption-related events and celebrations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support successful outcomes

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and/or families (preferred)
  • Knowledge of or ability to meet Pennsylvania regulatory requirements
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Required clearances: PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role involves a mix of office and community-based work, including:

  • Extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Light lifting (up to 10–15 lbs)
  • Clear communication in person, by phone, and electronically
