Position Summary
The Addiction Counselor plays a key role in supporting individuals in recovery by providing case management, facilitating group therapy, and guiding clients through treatment and discharge planning.
This role is focused on substance use treatment and case management (not dual-diagnosis therapy).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) assessments and develop treatment plans
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and document in EMR
- Provide case management support (including FMLA/STD coordination)
- Monitor client progress and behavior during treatment
- Assist with crisis intervention and emergency response
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and care team
- Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare resources
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications (Required)
Must hold one of the following:
- CAADC (Pennsylvania Certification Board), OR
- LMFT, LPC, or LCSW license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in substance use or addiction treatment
- Crisis management experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Familiarity with CBT, DBT, and 12-step recovery models
- Experience with motivational interviewing
Work Environment
- Caseload: ~12 clients/day
- Reports to: Clinical Supervisor

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
