Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate APCC/AMFT/ACSW to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and intake evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to stabilize clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma, including PTSD care and grief counseling
- Engage in patient care activities such as behavioral management, behavior modification plans, and social work interventions tailored to children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or those with chronic pain conditions
- Document all clinical interactions accurately in medical records following HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, ensuring comprehensive support for patients across outpatient clinics or inpatient facilities
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote counseling sessions while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy (AMFT), or related mental health field; current licensure or registration as an APCC (Associate Professional Clinical Counselor), AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist), or ACSW (Advanced Clinical Social Worker) required
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling
- Hands-on experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or in pediatric settings such as hospitals or clinics
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation procedures
- Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies, trauma-informed care including PTSD management, grief counseling, and gender issues counseling preferred
- Experience conducting intake assessments via telehealth platforms; ability to adapt clinical skills for outpatient or inpatient environments is highly valued
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health care; ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $29.50 - $31.50 per hour
